How would you distinguish peace and joy? Can you really have one of them without the other one? Under what conditions?

to me, it seems that peace is not being upset and joy is actually being positive - if that makes sense. For example, if I am stuck in traffic, my peace would be demonstrated by not getting frustrated or annoyed or driving recklessly, and my joy would be demonstrated by me choosing rather to praise God, sing out loud, or cite a memory verse.
